5th Annual Jefferson Quilt Show Quilts
on the Bayou, sponsored by the Jefferson Regional Quilt Alliance and the
Jeffersonian Institute, will be held January 25 - 27, 2008 in the Cypress Valley
Education Center located at 120 East Austin Street in Jefferson, Texas.
Admission is $5/Adults, $4/Seniors 65 'n up and Children 6 - 12, $9/3 day
Pass. The hours are Friday and Saturday, January 25 & 26, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
and Sunday, January 27, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The Cypress Valley Education Center
is handicap accessible.
Quilt Displays include Hoffman's 2007 Spring
Challenge winning quilts, Busy Quilters Quilt Guild of Carthage, Texas' quilt
made from donated brides' dresses and Country Patches Quilt Guild's
"Quilts & Books for Little East Texans." Click Quilt Displays for

This exciting weekend event features Guest Lecturers
Mary Massey on "Blended Quilts" and "Quilts of the Past". Sally
Ashbacher will teach a half-day workshop "Winter Bloom" from the
book "Quilting the Garden" on Friday, January 25, and again on
Saturday, January 26, fron 12 noon to 5:00 pm. Each class is limited to
20 students. Cost is $25 plus patterns. For Supply List and

Daily activities include teacher demonstrations, special video room, door
prizes, raffle quilts, quilts for sale, quilts and our fabulous Merchant Mall.
New for 2008:

special video room. Rest your feet while getting quilt tips.
- Take the opportunity to work on Quilts
on the Bayou's own Quilters Against Breast Cancer quilt.

machine donated by Janome America, Inc. to be Raffled. Drawing

Quilts on the Bayou
is a viewers' choice open show with prizes and ribbons awarded. Entries are
