The Arrowhead Block will be taught by Jody Rosenhauer from Quilter's Quarters in Conroe, TX.

She will be providing Bernina Machines with thread to be used in the workshop.  These machines may also be purchased.

Plan now to take this fun workshop.

The Arrowhead is a traditionally pieced block that appeared in "The Kansas City Star" newspaper on March 26, 1941. The 9" unfinished Arrowhead block is made entirely from two fabric squares, 8" each, cut from starched yardage.  Sew two squares of fabric together and make three cuts; ten perfectly presewn subunits will appear before your eyes.  There is no wasted fabric, and, without planning, four pointed asymmectrical units are magically prefabricated.  The center of each block is a four patch.  The blocks in alternating vertical rows of the quilt top may be rotated or set identically.

NOTE: No need to bring your sewing machine.  Machines will be available for the class and may be purchased.  If you are considering the purchase of a machine, this is a good opportunity to try a Bernina.

Materials List:

For each block, bring two contrasting 8 1/2" squares of fabric
(layer cakes are perfect for this)

Rotary Cutter
Mat and Ruler
Scissors
Pins
Ruler that can square up to 9"
2" Post-it Notes
Thread will be provided

Note:  If you bring 4 coordinating squares and a complimentary 1/2 yd of fabric, you will be shown how to make a quick table runner or placemats.
